Cargill and Excel Support Clinic Assistance Program

WICHITA, KS, September 19, 2002 - Local Cargill businesses and Excel, a Cargill subsidiary, have contributed $10,000 to the Wichita Guadalupe Clinic prescription assistance fund. The clinic's programs serve nearly 15,000 low-income community members annually.

"This is the fourth year that Cargill and Excel have supported the Guadalupe Clinic, we are very impressed with the dedication of the volunteer staff and the program's ability to service those in need," said Scott Eilert, director of pork research and development at Excel here. "We are pleased to continue our support of the prescription assistance program, and look forward to future opportunities to enrich the community and help address local needs."

This contribution is sponsored by Cargill Oilseeds, Horizon Flour Milling, LLC, Excel and the Cargill Partnership Fund. The Partnership Fund is a corporate program that matches contributions made by local Cargill facilities to support special projects and services in their communities.
