Cargill and Excel Contribute To High School Vocational Agriculture Building

Cargill and its Excel Corp. subsidiary have donated $150,000 to fund a new vocational agriculture building at Dodge City High School that will include a show ring, animal pens and classrooms for agriculture education programs.

" This contribution is supporting the future of our youth and the future of agriculture," said Dan Schnitker, general manger of Excel's Dodge City facility. "The new building will help Dodge City High School students explore opportunities in agriculture, help them prepare for the future and enhance their educational experience."

Cargill and Excel have been long-time supporters of agricultural education, partnering with student organizations including 4-H and FFA. Cargill has contributed more than $4 million to FFA since 1961.

This contribution was jointly funded by Excel in Dodge City and the Cargill Partnership Fund, a corporate program that matches contributions made by Cargill facilities to support special projects and services in their communities.
